Meditation

In meditation we learn to return to and remain in the present moment. This enables you to understand yourself better and at all levels. With practices to enable concentration, clarity and equanimity.

You’ll be guided through relaxation techniques and body scanning, Samatha with an object (in this case mindfulness of breathing) and Samatha without an object (nondual meditation, resting in awareness) for settling the mind, working with the subtle body, the energy body, and ‘letting go’, to find a sense of openness and unification and ultimately, everyday happiness.

To rest in awareness, means letting go. You can disempower the comparing, judging mind.

By releasing constructs of the ego, you open the door to insight practices that can enable us to go deeper. This leads to more creativity, happiness and freedom - getting accustomed to letting go of the self, the issues, the world… it can be ok, it is, in fact, very nice!

Some of the many benefits of meditation include:

Reduces stress & anxiety; enhances self-awareness; increases creatively & lengthens attention span; generates tolerance, empathy and kindness; improves sleep; lowers blood pressure; helps control pain.

Experience a gong bath on your own terms - for pure relaxation/awareness, or with a focus on directing the tones and vibrations to suit your particular needs – the sound will always flow to where it needs to go!

Gong Sound Healing

Paiste Gongs are masters of sonic craftsmanship. Hand-hammered in the traditional way.

A ‘planetary’ gong bath allows the recipient to experience the energy of the planets and stars through the vibrations created by the gong. All in the service of emotional wellbeing. During a gong bath the mind is significantly quietened, leading to the opportunity to rest in awareness – a break from daily stresses and an invitation to dissolve into a state of harmony and bliss.

The planetary gong is Chiron which represents all aspects of ‘Wellness’. The pitch is D# - the Sacral Chakra, promoting fluidity and connectivity in relationships, emotions, creativity. It is also tuned to the Third Eye (Intuition, the source of all knowledge) and Throat Chakra (tapping into the art of creating, self-expression and communication).

The Bronze Gong (#4 ) - Bronze Gongs are versatile & abundant in their frequencies & harmonics. They generally possess a lower and more voluminous sound than nickel ones.

During the sound baths, the gongs are harmonised with Crystal & Tibetan Bowls, and Koshi Chimes.

Yoga Nidra

This ancient Yogic practice is a form of meditation and mind-body practice. A guided relaxation, typically done for 30-40 mins, in which the body, senses and mind are restored, to bring wholeness and well-being. It has gained in popularity in the West, as a proven method to combat anxiety and stress, bringing deep relaxation and calm, and aiding restful sleep.

It can be preformed in a group session, usually alongside restorative yoga, or at the end of any yoga practice. We also combine it with Sound Healing as the two compliment each other well. In these settings we would typically use a deep relaxation method. This helps to prepare the body & mind to being more receptive to the experience of the sound bath.

You can also have 1:1 sessions. In this way, the methodology can be tailored to help you on a more personal level. Whether you suffer from anxiety, stress, a particular trauma, or just want to experience the practice in the comfort of your own home.
